What municipal water carries through a bare shower head

Look behind your shower head

What water leaves behind can hide in plain sight.

White crust, rust staining and narrowed nozzles build gradually, so fading spray can feel like a plumbing problem. Replacing the old head restores a clean spray face; Velansi then adds a replaceable point-of-use filter designed to reduce free chlorine, rust and sediment.

Clear expectation: mineral scale is evidence of hard water. Velansi is not a water softener and does not remove dissolved calcium or magnesium.

How it works

Filtration before the water reaches you

The replaceable cartridge sits inside the shower head, while the air-assisted face is designed to keep the stream feeling full.

Free chlorine

Designed to reduce residual free chlorine commonly used in municipal water treatment.

Rust and sediment

The cartridge captures visible material that can travel through older plumbing.

Fuller-feeling spray

An air-assisted 125 mm face distributes water across a broad spray pattern.

Replaceable cartridge

Inspect regularly and replace approximately every two to three months, or sooner if flow drops.

GPG = grains per gallon, the standard US hardness measure. Readings reflect published municipal averages for your area and can vary by household and season. Velansi reduces free available chlorine; it is not a whole-home water softener.

Will it fit my shower?
It fits most standard ½-inch shower connections used in the United States. Older, concealed, or non-standard fittings may require an adapter. If you are unsure, email a photo to support@velansi.co before ordering and we will confirm compatibility.
Will the filter reduce water pressure?
The broad spray face uses air assistance to create a fuller-feeling stream. Any cartridge can restrict flow after it becomes loaded, so replace it when the spray weakens or at the recommended interval.
Does it soften hard water?
No. Velansi is not a salt-based water softener and should not be described as removing dissolved calcium or magnesium without product-specific laboratory evidence. Its intended role is point-of-use shower filtration.
How often should I replace the cartridge?
Inspect the cartridge regularly and replace it approximately every two to three months. Heavy use, visible sediment, odor, or a reduction in flow can mean it should be replaced sooner.
What do the three kits include, and what do cartridges cost?
A five-pack of replacement cartridges is $29.99 bought on its own. The Full Shower Upgrade is the shower head, bracket, hose and first cartridge. The Full-Year Kit adds a five-pack at half price, $15.00 instead of $29.99. The Two-Bathroom Duo is two complete shower upgrades with two five-packs included at no extra charge.
Can I use the 60-day guarantee after installing it?
Yes. The 60-day return period lets you install and reasonably test the shower head. Contact support@velansi.co within 60 days of delivery for return instructions. Used cartridges are consumable and do not need to be returned unless support requests them.
Where do orders ship and how long do they take?
Orders are normally processed in one to two business days. The current delivery estimate is shown at checkout, and tracking is emailed as soon as the carrier accepts the parcel.
